(Martha) Opal May Peterson was born on 20 Jun 1911 in Folsom, South Dakota as the sixth child of Lars John Peterson and Delena Belle Hibbs. She had six siblings, namely: Florence Lenore, Gladys Wilma, Carl Albert, Cecil Theodore, Ruby Estella, and (David) Floyd August. She died on 17 Sep 2005 in Minnesota. When she was 16, she married Clinton Wayne DeWitt on 19 Feb 1928 in ND.
