Lealan Eugene Stomberg was born on 18 Jul 1922 as the third child of Edgar Gerhard “George” Stomberg and Esther Mathilda Jackson in Parnell, RR Graceville, Minnesota, Traverse Co. (at home). He had two siblings, namely: Viola Laurinda Esther, and Vivian Luella Ephrosjina. He died on 13 Oct 2018 in Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell, Minnesota. When he was 24, he married Kathryn Margaret Kirchenbauer on 31 May 1947 in Simpson Methodist Church, Clear Lake, Minnesota.

Kathryn Margaret Kirchenbauer was born on 17 Jul 1924 in St. Cloud Hospital, Stearns Co. St. Cloud, Minnesota. She died on 14 Jan 2018. When she was 22, she married Lealan Eugene Stomberg, son of Edgar Gerhard “George” Stomberg and Esther Mathilda Jackson, on 31 May 1947 in Simpson Methodist Church, Clear Lake, Minnesota.
